Finally! Hydrogen to be included in energy statistics from 2020

Recently, according to relevant information, starting from 2020, the National Bureau of Statistics will include hydrogen in energy statistics for the first time. The hydrogen fuel cell industry has been calling for the integration of hydrogen into energy management, taking a solid step.

In this "Energy Statistics Report System" printed in November 2019, the National Bureau of Statistics requires that hydrogen, together with coal, natural gas, crude oil, electricity, and biofuels, be included in the 2020 energy statistics.

From the filling requirements, we can know that the core statements of energy statistics include "energy purchase/consumption and inventory" and "energy processing, conversion and recycling". Through these two tables, we can calculate the comprehensive energy consumption of an enterprise, which is an important basis for energy assessment.

Energy statistics is the use of integrated energy system economic index system and unique measurement form, the use of scientific statistical analysis methods, the study of energy exploration, development, production, processing, conversion, transmission, storage, circulation, use and other aspects of the movement process, internal regularity and energy system process balance and other quantitative relations of a special statistics.According to the relevant provisions of the National Bureau of Statistics, China implements an energy statistical reporting system, which is mainly composed of comprehensive annual reports, comprehensive periodic reports and grass-roots annual reports, reflecting the production, import and export, inventory, purchase, consumption and unit energy consumption of energy.

This professional statistics has always played an absolute data support role in formulating guidelines and policies for governments and departments at all levels, compiling energy plans, and inspecting and supervising the implementation of energy economic activities and energy guidelines, policies, and plans.

Article 3 of the "the People's Republic of China Statistics Law" clearly stipulates: "The basic task of statistics is to conduct statistical investigations and statistical analysis of national economic and social development, provide statistical data and statistical advice, and exercise statistical supervision." This professional statistics provides reliable information for governments and departments at all levels to formulate guidelines, policies and prepare energy plans.

Previously, Ling Wen, a member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, director and general manager of the National Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, put forward this year: It is recommended to incorporate hydrogen energy into the energy system and formulate a development strategy. Ling Wen believes that the development and utilization of hydrogen energy is an important direction for the development of clean energy. In terms of optimizing the energy system, hydrogen energy, as a secondary energy source, can realize the optimal allocation of multi-heterogeneous energy across regions and seasons, and form an innovative multi-energy complementary system with sustainable high flexibility.

At the same time, the industry is also calling for hydrogen energy to be included in the national energy system. Yin Tongyue, deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., suggested that overall planning should be carried out at the national level to upgrade hydrogen energy from the national development key direction to the level of national development strategy, so as to promote the healthy development of hydrogen energy industry.
